Shaun Wanzo

Shaun Wanzo has been involved in criminal justice reform and social justice activism since in 2017. He has worked on ending mass incarceration with the ACLU, EXPO (Ex-Prisoners Organizing), Justleadership, and Wisdom, among others. This experience has helped him build a foundation for being an advocate for those who might not have the same platform. 

Shaun credits countless of people within the organizations for paving the way for him to be able to gain the experience that led to the creation of Conduit LLC, his business focused on diversity and inclusion within the STEAM fields and other industries. He is working on connecting the formerly incarcerated and other underserved demographics with jobs in these sectors of the marketplace, with an emphasis on cultivating an inclusive work environment. 

In the process of engaging numerous leaders within the business community, Shaun has crafted his own training/workshop, The Perception Benefit. It is interactive and specifically designed to help expand people’s lenses when relating to people from different socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds. He also has had the privilege of working with gener8tor’s gBETA Social Impact program as a speaker, program member, and mentor and business strategist to startups. After a long winding and challenging road, Shaun is most proud of being a father and enrolling in UWM for a second time around.
