Marshall Tyler is an award-winning director and documentary filmmaker based in Los Angeles. His recent short Night Shift premiered in competition at Sundance 2017 and was later selected to be part of the Sundance Shorts Tour as one of seven films which traveled to over 70 cities around the country and internationally.

The film took home the Gold Hugo Grand Jury Award at the Oscar qualifying 53rd Chicago International Film Festival and has played at over 50 festivals globally. His documentary Skid Row shone a light on LA’s homeless problem as told through the eyes of Grammy award-winning rapper, Pras Michel from the Fugees who went undercover as a homeless man while living nine straight days on the streets of LA’s infamous Skid Row. The film was licensed by Netflix and continues to be important reference material for homeless advocates across the country. In addition, he has shot music videos, web-series, behind-the-scenes, and additional footage for several documentaries.

Marshall's work has appeared on HBO, CBS, and PBS, in addition, his most recent clients include Time Warner, Sundance Institute and HBO. Marshall got his start in film working under director Michael Mann moving from set PA to videographer.
